Anti Corruption Rally

Corruption corrupts the system of the country from within. There’s an essential need to fight this evil and promote the ideas of honesty and integrity for the development of our country. In a nationwide survey, about 45 percent of people admitted that they have paid bribes to get their work done. AIDER organized a Rally on November 4th, in order to sensitize people about the need to fight against corruption. Mr. Neeraj Gupta and his fellow senior officials from NPCC attended the event and enhanced the positive attitude to raise a voice against corruption. It was a quantum leap. When we do cheerfully and accept gracefully, everyone is blessed. Efforts like these always leave a healthy impact on the minds of little children to uphold honest and upright behavior.

Clean India Mission

Maintaining the cleanliness and serenity of our environment is not just a civic responsibility but a moral one too. Dirt and squalor around us is an indication of an impurity, and anything which pollutes our motherland should be dealt with sternly. In India, cleanliness is a grave issue. We can see huge piles of garbage lying on the roads. People take public property for granted and therefore we can see filthy surroundings with heaps and loads of discarded waste. This is a sign of our carelessness towards the wellbeing of our own country.

Sanitation is no longer a choice but an imperative. Universal sanitation is at the core of India’s development agenda, let us realise its promise. To make it come true, Aider did an awareness rally under “Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan”.Our entire team and students rolled up their sleeves and played their part in creating cleanliness. Teachers spread a message in the society that defecation and filth are a serious threat to our society. Access to sanitation is not an infrastructure problem, there is a deeper behavioural and socio-cultural context at play. Influencing people is a challenge but Aider accepted it, as we need a Swachh Bharat, an India that Mahatma Gandhi dreamt of. It was an enchanting, audacious, indefinable program as you can see in the pictures.

SAVE THE GIRL CHILD

Girl child is a boon for mankind. She plays multiple essential roles is everyone’s life. She is a mother, a sister, a caretaker, a homemaker, a decision maker, a daughter and an essential component of our society. She grows up to be a woman who creates a new life in her womb and nurtures a family with her morals and values. You can also see girls proving their might in the corporate world and almost every sector of the Indian economy. But, unfortunately some people choose to end the life of a girl child before her birth. They are considered a burden and rarely given equal opportunities as their male counterparts. It’s disturbing that the trend of decline in the Child Sex Ratio (CSR), defined as number of girls per 1000 of boys between 0-6 years of age, has been unabated since 1961. Concerted efforts are required to make the society sensitive about the empowerment of girl child and fighting back prenatal abortions. The decline from 945 in 1991 to 927 in 2001 and further to 918 in 2011 is alarming. The decline in the CSR is a major indicator of women disempowerment.

At AIDER, we recognize the seriousness of this issue. Therefore, Girls of AIDER performed a skit play to spread awareness in the society that girls are equally important as boys. That girls deserve to be nurtured with care and support so as to contribute their optimum towards nation building. Viewers appreciated the efforts made by our girls. Our aim is to reform, perform and transform.
